thanks to the nature of things documentary, dinosaur cold case, we get to learn about the 110 million year old dinosaur: borealopelta markmitchelli! the name means shield of the north and then a nod to the royal tyrell museum tech who spent over 7,000 hours getting this bad boi out of the ground. imagine having a dinosaur named after you?!?!

it was found in 2011 in fort mcmurray, alberta. 6 years later it was declared A NEW SPECIES!
